A single ibogaine molecule combined with either a dregamine or tabernaemontanine molecule is called Voacamine'

Voacangine' a plant closely related to T.Iboga yields high quantities of Voacamine'

The action of mixing Voacamine with pot ash and then micro-waving the resultant compound splits and destroys the dregamine and tabernaemontanine molecule off of the Ibogaine molecule' (heat specific so youo desty he Ibogaine mole as well)
The Ibogaine is then extracted from the pot ash an treated with acids n' bases' then an acid' usualy hcl' the resultant Ibogine hcl falls out of the solution and is filtered and dried'
The sysnthesis of Ibogaine is deemed almost pointless' becasue of the complex stages that are required to costruct he molecule from scratch'
Merk index lists extraction methods from plant materials' but no sysnthesis'
I looked into sysnthesis'
Forget it' DMT is easier :)))
input is loads' output is almost zilch'
So chemists use Voacamine and bust it up with micro-waves and alkaline pot-ash'

Extraction of TA Iboga is done either with methanol or an acid' Ibogaine oxydises in contact with heat' water and oxygen unless in an acid salt state' of where it is stable for years'

TA' is of where the Iboga experience is' Ibogaine hcl in my experience holds no flame to TA of Iboga'
It actualy feels like an anti-depressant as of when the maoi effect hits the dopamine and seretonin in your brain' the SRI effect of nor-ibogaine is the same off of Ibogaine hcl or TA of Iboga' except the combo of the alks in TA last way longer than the single mole Ibogaine'

Blessings

Tabernanthe orientalis, also called Tabernaemontana orientalis.
This plant is now called Ervatamia orientalis, and is found in Western Australia.
The leaves contain ibogaine, along with six minor alkaloids that are closely related, structurally.

Tabernaemontana orientalis (syn Ervatamia orientalis)
Australian Ibogaine Bush, Iodine Bush

Botanical information
An evergreen shrub, it grows to a height of 2.5m with a spread of 2m.
The stem is erect and branching; the leaves are opposite, thick, smooth, 10-15cm long and narowly ovate-acuminate; the flowers are white, and expanding tubular.
A native of Australia, India and some areas of the Pacific....

Traditional uses

The common name 'iodine bush' arose from its reputed use by Aborigines to cure sores and ulcers.
It belongs to a family with many toxic members and this one has been suspected of poisoning horses and cows.
However, there is no record of human poisoning and it appears that the protein-breaking enzymes, and possibly even antibiotics, in the milky latex may actually have healing properties.
It has also been called Bitter Bark and has found use as a quinine substitute in colonial times.
This Tabernaemontana is a close relative of the Tabernanthe iboga bush, which is used ritually in Africa.

Alkaloids of Ervatamia orientalis
Knox & Slobbe
Aust J Chem #28: 1813-56, 1975.

In this study leaves and bark of different Australian specimens were quantitavely and qualitatively analysed for their alkaloids.
In the leaves the alkaloids isolated,at about 0.22% yield, were ibogaine, iboxygaine, ervatamine, 19-dehydroervatamine and apparacine. in the ratios of 1.8 : 0.25 : 0.5 : 1 : 2 respectively.

Three samples of bark were found to contain 1.3 %, 2 % and 1.4 % alkaloids.
The alkaloids were found to be a mixture of ervatamine, tabernaemontanine, 16-demethoxycarbonyl-20-epidihydro-voacamine, 20-epiervatamine, dregamine, 19-dehydroervatamine, vobasine, voacamine, 16-demethoxycarbonyl-dihydro-voacamine and voacristine.

The following alkaloids are of the ibogan type, ibogaine, iboxygaine and voacristine.

The alkaloids voacamine, 16-decarbomethoxy-19,20-dihydrovoacamine and 16 decarbomethoxy-19,20-dihydro-20-epi-voacamine are actually dimeric alkaloids constructed from a single ibogaine molecule combined with either a dregamine or tabernaemontanine molecule.

Just for interest sake'

Treatment of Voacamine with pot-ash and micro-waves yields Ibogaine'
A large majority of Ibogaine hcl in the world is made this way'

Blessings

As for Iboga bark, I took 25 grams once and it was very uncomfortable - ataxia, racing heart, throbbing head, yet no visions or psychoactivity. It took me 2 days to recover.

Dzikus- so the feeling of ibo bark (not rootbark) similar to voacanga? I mixed voaconga seed and bark for the extract i made. and just the small amount of material i had, made1 1/2oz of gooey tincture (water and vinegar processed first). And just 8-10 drops were a fine, kinda speedy, energy tonic. but i can feel the constriction in my chest, very soundly convincing me that hallucinatory effects would be both highly uncomfortable and dangerous.

I can't take a hint.
I'll order a bunch on monday and send you half.
It is good for almost any pain.
I'm not thinking it is at al tonic in the TCM sense but it seems really safe and good for long term energy or blood stagnation.

I have a report' of which I can no find'

It is a story I found some 18 years ago of Monks in Asia curing addicts with a concoction'
One of the plants I recognised was' "Star Jasmine"

Also a plants that yields high vit B6 of which aids in the synthesis of dopamine and seretonin'
Also "Blue lilly" of which is a D1 and D2 agonist'
You could no doubt' with skill' combine a concoction of such plants that gave Ibogaine effects plus a D1 D2 dopamine agonists and B6 synthesis of dopamine and seretonin'
I never attempted such a concoction'

It set me on my path to "Light"

The report was in one of those magazines of extreme body piercings' plus a cure for opium addiction in Asia' and reference to "Star" herb'

I saw the pics of the guys who partook of this brew'
They had no addiction after five days' had bodies of taught muscle and eyes like saucers' with huge smiles on their faces'

I said'

"Fuck' I am going to take that shit"

Eventualy took a large amount of Iboga' because this is of where all my research lead me'

Ibogaine plus 12 Hydroxy-ibogamine' the later holds for me' as did' way more punch than Ibogaine itself'

Anyways'

Be well

well you could just make it easier on me, and give me some info on the plant there buddy. You do communicate faster. i am curious about it too, but i have no input on that particular plant, and was trying to coax you to share some info on it in particular. or with the warriors.

Luo shi teng - could you enlighten me a bit- is it a plant with good tonic effects? what about its alkaloids?

Thanks bro. (i need to talk with you soon about some things too)

Boy, you guys are clever... I also have a friend named Kevin, and incidentally he is a TCM...
And you may be right without knowing the direct connections...
Like the Facebook name counter stat, you can find out how common your name is, and how many people have it.

Is this Vancouver crowd so well known?

I realize "tribe" has been temperamental in its recent online usability, which would lead me to believe, that traffic numbers have significantly dropped.
Anybody know those daily use stats..? you see I am a sucker for statistics, and empirical evidence...
