Is it any of our business whether or not

      a) Dave Chappelle likes intoxicants?
      b) Dave Chapelle at the Freedom Root?
      c) Both a & b
      d) None of the above

It occurs to me that keeping on task and/or on topic is not the same as censorship.

(Although I heartily sympathize with any feelings of oppression, intentional or otherwise, dear Heart!)

Lili & Co, I'm sorry you're interpreting my recent removal of one of your threads as censorship.

I do my best to be as hands-off as possible and consider myself in principle an advocate of free speech, and I can count the instances throughout the years which prompted for a post or thread to be removed on one hand. As a general rule, I will only take action when there is sufficient reason -and consensus- to dismiss a post as either off topic or wherever there is any type of reasonable objection to be made of a more personal nature. In this case, both factors applied.

This instance had nothing to do with free speech or censorship but rather me simply following up on my responsibilities as active moderator of this forum. The lack of any apparent *real* or otherwise implied relevance to iboga or ibogaine in your post, which is what active members of this forum are here to discuss together with the implication of Simon's charactre (who's been super cool about this BTW) offered more than sufficient grounds for dismissing the post in question. I thank you for your understanding, Lily, Alex, Caridad...
