So folks, I have spoke about doing the iboga for addiction and went for it, but ended up throwing up a large portion, and not really having enough to get a full on flood dose. The trip was mild without visions, but during the trip I had no withdrawal, and a cool acid-like trip, for a couple days. When I came down the withdrawal did come back, but my tolerance has been lowered. It did cause ataxia, and was strange how it affected my balance.

Anyways, for the last 40 g of bark I had, SWIM wanted to make it more pure for me, so I would absorb the alkaloids much faster and have less nausea. To do this it required a slightly more involved Tek than Achtwan's Iboga Alkaloid Extraction 2.0. This extraction, done on 44 g of the bark, left me with 11.5 grams of brownish crud. 2/3 should have been enough for a full flood, but when the 13 capsules I ate broke open all at once in my stomach, it soured it, quick, and I threw up the majority of the dose.

SWIM is now performing a second extraction on the 40 g of bark and I will explain what he is doing here. I will explain the complete extraction, but will update this thread with an exact procedure when SWIM finishes, so that he can add any helpful details for anyone who might want to give this extraction a try. It will give all the alkaloids in a much more pure state, which should be much easier to take and absorb for people like me with a sensitive stomach.

The Extraction:

What you need: Plain white distilled vinegar, a stainless steel, ceramic, HDPE, or non-reactive container, janitorial strength (10%) non-sudsy ammonia, distilled water, a funnel, coffee filters, old t-shirt, and the iboga bark.

Optional for added purity: Acetone, muriatic acid (28-31% HCl), and Everclear (95% pure ethanol).

1: Take the bark, and make sure it's as fine of a powder as possible.

2: Add enough vinegar to thoroughly cover the bark. A good measurement for the vinegar is about 5 times the amount (volume) of vinegar to the weight of bark.

In this instance 40g of bark times 5 would be about 200 mls of vinegar per soak. One may need slightly more in the first couple extractions to thoroughly cover the bark, and excess can be used safely, however it will lengthen the time of filtering later, so try and keep the volumes minimal.

3: The bark can be stirred occasionally, and left to sit for at least one hour.

Adding heat makes the bark harder to filter, and isn't necessary.

4: After an hour has passed, one needs to filter the bark from the vinegar with a cloth t-shirt. Squeeze out the bark to gather all the vinegar and save this. The bark is then returned to the container for another soak. This should be done 4 times to be sure to get out all the alkaloids.

5: While letting the bark soak again, as in the previous steps, Filter the collected vinegar through coffee filters.

This can take a long time to filter, since the coffee filters clog easily, and may need to be replaced often. Have patience though. If you can leave it sitting in the funnel, with a filter, the juice will eventually pass through. This filtering isn't 100% necessary but it will remove all the fine plant particles from the solution, so the initial extraction will come out much cleaner, so it's a good idea.

6: Once all the vinegar has been collected and filtered through a coffee filter, you have two options.

The first would be to evaporate the vinegar a bit, by using low heat and a fan. Under boiling is fine to reduce the vinegar, and will make it easier to deal with less liquid. You don't want to evaporate it to thickness though, just enough to make it easy to work with in a smaller container. The second option is to skip the evaporation and proceed directly to the next step.

7: Once you have all your vinegar collected, and evaporated a good bit, if you like, you are ready to add the ammonia. You can slowly pour ammonia into the vinegar, to make it basic. pH papers aren't needed, but if used, just make sure the pH is above 9-10.

As you add the ammonia, the solution will heat slightly, and you will see cloudy precipitate forming. You can add more ammonia, to be sure, as too much won't hurt, it will just add to the amount of solution that needs to be filtered, which can take awhile.

8: Now, if left to settle, the precipitate (freebase total alkaloids) will sink to the bottom of the container. The majority of the clear solution at the top can be siphoned off, and filtered to be sure no precipitate is in it.

If it looks clear, not cloudy, though, all the precipitate should have sunken to the bottom. By removing a large portion of the upper clear (tea color) water, this will allow you to have much less solution to filter out your alkaloids. You can save everything you siphoned off and add more ammonia later, to be sure you got out all the freebase alkaloids.

9: Now you can filter the muddy solution through coffee filters again.

Filtering this can take a good bit as the precipitate begins to clog the filter, but again, be patient, as the solution will eventually pass through the filter completely. This may take overnight, so don't worry if it takes a long time. Once you have filtered the solution, you can set aside the clear tea colored water for later, to add more ammonia, and be sure you collected all the precipitate.

10: You should now have a coffee filter with all the brown freebase precipitate stuck to it. You should then add a liberal amount of distilled water to the filter in the funnel. You will thoroughly rinse the precipitate with the distilled water to wash away any extra impurities.

Again, waiting for the water to pass through the alkaloid coated coffee filter may take awhile, so just have patience.

11: This precipitate can then be placed in front of a fan with a warm air current, away from UV light, and left to dry.

This is now your crude freebase total alkaloid extract. This can be capped when dry and used as is, and should be much cleaner than the simple vinegar extraction. However, for those of us that want it much more pure, there are two options.

First option:

1: Take the filter with the dried crusty precipitate and break up the filtrate to a fine powder. You can use the same filter, or take a new one and place it in a funnel that is plugged (SWIM uses a two liter bottle with the bottom cut off for a funnel, so capping the opening can seal it, but a finger may be used). Add the filtrate to the plugged funnel.

2: Let the vinegar sit, maybe stir it around a bit in the filter, then let it drain through, and save the vinegar.

3: You can repeat with fresh vinegar another time, and collect all the vinegar.

4: Add ammonia to the vinegar again, to precipitate the alkaloids, which should be even cleaner this time.

5: Re-filter out all the alkaloids, and let dry as above.

This can now be used as is and should be even cleaner.

Second (more involved) option:

Okay so you have your brown precipitate in your coffee filter, now dried up, from the first portion of the extraction.

1: You now, take your acetone, and soak the filter with it. You can stir around the precipitate in the filter, and wash two or three times with acetone. The filter should contain any bark crud that got through, and any other impurities.

This will remove the alkaloids from the solid filtrate, since the freebase is soluble in acetone.

2: Take your muriatic acid, and add it very slowly, to the acetone. You must do this dropwise, and watch as the precipitate forms.

Adding too much can start to redissolve the ibogaine. You can add a few drops at a time, and watch as the precipitate forms. When it stops forming, you can place this into the fridge, to chill for a few hours, before filtering, and this will increase the yield. You can add more acid a second time to the acetone after filtering the first precipitate to be sure you got it all.

3: Filter out the ibogaine HCl.

This is nearly pure ibogaine HCl, but there may be a bit left in the acetone, and all the other alkaloids will also be in the acetone. You can evaporate some of the acetone with a fan and low heat, then treat it with the muriatic acid again, and harvest any more crystals of ibogaine HCl that precipitate. Filter it out as well and add it to the first filtrate.

4: If you would like pure ibogaine HCl, without the other alkaloids, you can take the ibogaine HCl crystals, and dissolve it in boiling ethanol.

The boiling ethanol should be added dropwise, just until all the ibogaine HCl has dissolved.

5: This ethanol solution is then left to cool in the fridge and the ibogaine will recrystallize.

This will make the ibogaine HCl form much more pure crystals and can remove some of the ibogamine/ibogaline if still present in the precipitate. It is not necessary unless going for 98%+ purity, and repeated recrystallizations can yield very pure ibogaine HCl, but can cost a bit of yield.

When this is dry, it is ready to take.

6: For those who want to recover all the alkaloids, so they can take a complete total alkaloid extract of high purity, they should take the acetone that they salted out the ibogaine HCl, and evaporate it in front of a fan with warm air current.

The resulting leftover alkaloids will be an unstable oil.

7: Dissolve this oil in distilled water.

8: Add ammonia to this water with the oil dissolved into it.

You will again see the freebase residual alkaloids precipitate out of the water/ammonia solution.

9: Filter out the freebase alkaloids, and rinse again thoroughly with distilled water.

10: Let the freebase residual alkaloids dry completely.

You can then add your freebase residual alkaloids to your ibogaine HCl, and capsulize it. Freebases will be converted to the HCl salts in your stomach, so turning them into the HCl salt before ingesting is unnecessary.

So there you have it folks. If you want a very pure extract in which you only need to take a gram or two of extract, versus 7-8 g of brown gunk, then this is how to do it! The purity should help eliminate some of the nausea and should also be absorbed very quickly by the system.

hi everybody

i organised iboga for a friend recently. good quality rootbark shavings. the guy has been on heroin for 5 years. he decided to take the ibo yesterday. i sat with him. it was around 10 hours since his last smoke of heroin. he was feeling ok, but could feel the withdrawal symptoms slowly starting. so he took around 4 grams of the rootbark within an hour. about half an hour after his first ingestion he already felt the withdrawal symptoms ease off, and after two hours and perhaps 8 grams ingested, he was feeling the affects coming on swiftly. no withdrawal sympotms whatsoever. eventually he couldn't eat the rootbark raw anymore (cos of the flavour of course) so i mixed the rootbark into honey so it was easier for him to swallow it. after he took the first spoon of rootbark in honey and drank it down with some water, he quickly vomited and a lot of the rootbark came out. After this the ibo kicked in quite strong and he lay down. slowly i fed him spoon after spoon, mixed in honey. he was feeling no withdrawal sickness. he was having visions and seemed fine. he did vomit one more time, but this time very little of rootbark came up. a good sign. he took his initial dose at around 8pm and by 3am he had had enough. he ingested around 17 grams of the rootbark shavings (approx. 10 grams in honey). his wife and a good friend of his were also present. i stayed with him till 8am and then went home. at this time he was still having his visual experience, but was stable and i was able to talk with him. he said he was doing fine, no withdrawals. he complained about a pain in left side of his abdomen region. this pain started when he sat up quite quickly to take more ibo. i asume that it was a stich/cramp caused by digestion.
well when i left him and his friend and wife, he told me he was ok, that he would manage from there with his wife. no withdrawals.
at about 12pm he started to experience withdrawal symptoms. i spoke with him and his wife at 4pm, a little while ago, and he is having withdrawal symptoms. joint and muscle pains. flushes. funny nose, etc. the usual heroin withdrawal symptoms.
he has about 8 grams of the rootbark left so i told him to take very small doses every now and then. he hasn't slept yet.

does anyone have any experience with this? why could he be experiencing withdrawal symptoms? he is very determined to kick his habit and really did put a lot of prep into this ibo experience. pls if u have anything to share on this matter or any advice then it would be very helpful.

blessings and tnx!

in brief: a friend placed an order for 50g of exceptional-grade iboga root-bark from a trusted vendor. this is to be used to aid me in a long and difficult struggle to master an opiate addiction. some background: was on a high dose (100mg) of methadone at a clinic for six years, about 18 months ago i finally got outa there 'for good' thanks to suboxone. over the last six months ive been using opiates again and although its far from the habit it was, its still very much alive and a big ass problem. im at wits end. i have thoroughly researched ibogaine's risks/benefits and am a trained EMT. furthermore, i have seen this stuff do the impossible with a close friend. a few years back i drove w him to gainesville ~this was his 'go at it' it was eric taubs outfit...ive never seen anything like it. i want that for myself. as of this writing its almost four years to the day and this guy is in the best shape of his life. i feel i could really benefit from this medicine.
i and my friends are well versed in alkaloid extrction from a variety of botanicals, but i have questions regarding the efficacy of a simple acid-base xtrct? i dont doubt we could "pull" the alkaloid contents from this bark, but this would result in a free-base and i dont know a practical method for hcl conversion. would the free-base extract work? i know there are more alkaloids in this than purified hcl, but this actually sounds beneficial, as i have read total alkaloid can be of value with respect to the visionary elements of the experience. i want this so bad.. i know its naive to put all your eggs in one basket, but my friends, im running out of eggs!
i just know what i've seen in other's experiences and by god it's worth a try...any responses/opinions are welcomed! thanks~ and bless u

Customer service tell me that the powder is 3% alkaloids, which I take is the same as 3% ibogaine, is this correct? I ordered 50g but they sent me 100g :) Might be a good omen.

Wikipedia states that 3-5mg/kg is necessary for a mild stimulant effect. 10mg/kg or more for a full blown experience.

The document 'scrament of transition: protocol for iboga initiation' by anze tavcar, found at mindvox, recomments 12mg/kg for women and 14mg/kg as a standard initiation dose for spiritual seekers.

What I'd like to know is if I should firstly take a minor dose of 4mg/kg, then 8 then 12 to ease into this Iboga business. I'm no professional psychonaut and I don't think I'll be able to find a sitter. However, I have no methadone addiction, only nicotine and caffeine. I say only as if it's nothing but the nicotine needs to go. As far as psychological problems, sure I'm a little messed up in the head like most people but I don't suffer from depression, ADD, mania, schizophrenia or other serious conditions.

The powder I have, 25g is a hell of a lot. I weigh 65kg, so I'll be needing 9g for a 4mg/kg does, 18 for 8mg and 27 for 12mg. 9 grams is about half an egg in volume. I considered putting the powder into gel capsules, but i'll require so many that it'll need a litre of water to get down. Water I read is not what I should be drinking before an Iboga session.

So, what would you suggest? How about mixing the powder with some yogurt?

I have acquired about 85 grams of good quality Iboga root bark (estimated above 5% total alkaloids) from a friend. I wanted to do a simple vinegar soak with low heat for an hour, then filter it, through a t-shirt and coffee filters, then evaporate the vinegar to leave a more concentrated extract. I will repeat the soak and filter 3 more times. I have read the simple extraction and the use of this extract on another forum I frequent and am in contact with the person/people who performed the extraction and Iboga session that followed.

I have had one other Iboga experience with Sara Glatt back in 2004 in which I kicked a 7+ year opioid habit, with the last 3.5 years on methadone. I reduced my dose slowly over several months before the Iboga, all the way down to 12mgs a day of methadone. I took about 4-5 grams of extract (not HCl) last time. It was a very long lasting, powerful, visonary experience that allowed me to not only quit the methadone, but also cigarettes, sweets, sodas, and for some odd reason, eating pig (think it stems from the visions, but not sure), as well as a general desire to make better choices in all areas of my life. I felt so free, I never completely felt I had to give up everything for good, but have developed a few bad habits again, such as started smoking cigs again and eating junk food on occasion. I had no real trouble at all, until I broke my clavicle early this year and had vicodin prescribed by a doctor for pain. The only option they presented at the time was to monitor the healing, medicate for pain and, as needed, possible surgery to re-break the bone and put in pins and stuff, which I couldn't/can't afford.

I switched to buying poppy pods (papaver somniferum, aka the opium poppy) rather than the pills and doctor visits, which were much cheaper and the pain killing effect lasted longer with the natural alkaloids of the poppy plant (including morphine and codeine as the main alkaloids responsible for pain relief). The bone has healed as well as it can and doesn't hurt anymore (minor aches in cold weather or under stress), but now I have a habit of using the poppy pods, at a dose of about 15-20 grams of crushed poppy pods made into a tea, filtered and drank, once a day to feel normal, and without withdrawal.

I am planning on taking another iboga journey wih the extract from this quality bark and have been told 18mg/kg (of a pure extract or HCl) will be plenty for a flood dose that should eliminate any withdrawal and also give all the healing qualities of the iboga, with full visions, etc. I am confident I can handle this experience at home, rather than traveling to have the experience again, and just cannot afford any other options. My woman of over 16 years will be my sitter, and she has seen me go through a lot of long far out trips with psychedelics in the past, and she is a state tested nurses aid, with some medical training, just in case. I have a bedroom right next to the bathroom to do it in, where I will place a mattress and source of music with blankets and pillows, as well as a bucket for purging (last experience I purged on and off for 18 hours).

So I was going to extract about 40-45 grams of the bark to make the simple TA extract. About how much of this extract (again estimated at about 5% alkaloids from a friends experience) should I take for the flood dose? I was thinking maybe about half of the extract from the 40-45 g of quality bark (Is this too much?) Also, do I need a small test dose if I have had a full iboga experience before? Are there any tips anyone can suggest for undergoing this journey again?

I may even have the friend who administered a treatment to his brother successfully, and has undergone the experience himself come to help sit, but not sure if we can arrange it. Aside from the dosage information, I have a solid plan on the situation and am excited to undergo the wonderful experience again. Is there anything I am forgetting or should do to help ease the experience? Thanks for any help, replies, insights anyone can give as I prepare my journey.

Much respect to Iboga and all sincere replies,
GD

This has been a strange road my monkey has taken to get to where he is right now . he has had a problem with addiction since his late teens . most recently a poly substance abuse problem . he went on subboxxone for a brief stint and when it came down to it could no longer afford the meds or the visits to the doctor who wrote the contract (suboxxone script) out to begin with. when his perscription ran out he was back on dope again - bad monkey . it is also important to mention that my monkey does have bouts of depression and has had this problem since he was a young chimp. it is important to mention that my monkeys father was in the military and my monkey had to move almost every year of his life.
i strongly belive that he lost something of himself in this constant shuffle .
its true that after this went on for so long he turned to(and stayed with) drugs&alcohol.
he has been in and out of rehab clinics and halfway houses & has almost lost his life many times while under his vices influences . two years ago he was rushed to the emergency room and pumped full of narcan and other drugs that helped recesitate him . he most recently has been using marijauna and narcotics namely dilaudid and oxycontin- & (coffee coffee coffee !!) .
things have come to a point wher he very much wanted to try ibogaine of which he first heard of in 1993 .
after some searching he was able to find a reputable person from which he acquired 30 grams of ibogaine root bark(5-6%) from .
we (my monkey and i ) were wondering if anybody out there can help him with this journey? we need all kinds of advice , from the root barks preparation to pre and post experince advice .
we have come across a method of extration using vinegar that is fairly easy to do but we wonder are there any other methods that are just as easy or easier with better results?
is 30 grams of rootbark enough for my monkey ?
what types of things are we looking for when he takes his test dose ?
is it okay for him to take valium instead of xannax ?
can he take dramamine on top of the valium also ?
what is the best method for his experience - after the test dose how should he go about taking the rest?(flood dose)
what types of things do the sitters need to be aware of ?
how often do the check on him and when they check on him what should they do? - look for?
he has gone to the doctor and he is ok physically to do this journey.
i forgot to mention that earlier.
my monkeys main concern is that he has invested quite alot of time and money into making this work out properly and cant afford for this to go wrong .
he was in the poor house before he went on his quest for the ibogaine experience .
he also tells me that just knowing that this is coming has provided him with a felling of hope and wellbeing he hasnt known for quite some time now.
HE FEELS HOPE !!
he hasnt used narcotics in almost a month now and struggles everyday to keep clean untill he finds his experience.

his experience is just on hold for now while he and i go about on a quest for knowledge on this experience and how to go about doing it in a correct and safe manner.
with this all being said we sure look forward to hearing from you all.
your knowledge and experience mean the world to us .
thanks and god bless -

At the Awakening in the Dream house in Mexico, Moughenda offers Bwiti iboga root healing and initiation. Bwiti, originating among the forest Pygmies, is a traditional African spiritual practice whose essence is ancestor worship and direct connection to God. The initiations relate to the five aspects of Missoko Bwiti: Ngonde (bwiti of visions and diagnostics), Mioba (bwiti of healing with plants and herbs), Bosuka (bwiti of knowledge of creation), Mabundi (bwiti of women), and Senguedia (bwiti of protection).

From what I have heard from a lady who has been to the retreat the people living at the retreat are good and pure but the ones travelling the world and holding ceremonies in other countries are the ones abusing the people and the plants.
This is their website.
www.sacredperuadventures.com
The retreats are done in Urubamba village. There is a pic of the pretender shaman on the website so please check it out so that you know who he is. I am sick of these men with their big egos and greed for money and sex thinking they can come and mess with peoples lives.
THEY WILL BE TAKEN DOWN!

I agree, it takes years of work on the ego etc before a person is ready to hold such a space or a deep spiritual transformation. You must be in control of your own mind and your intentions must be pure. The spiritual Fathers and Mothers can see this immediately in a person.
Actually seeds would be just fine with me.
I've wanted to gain access to ibogaine, but find the cost prohibitive.
Maybe there's a lab somewhere making it and distributing it at a reasonable price to help people deal with addiction in their life, or the life of a loved one or friend because they feel like it's a good or kind thing to offer to others living in those situations, but if so I can't find them.
I've read about the dangers also, but I work with a variety of high speed blades and tools that can take your arm off every day. I drive a vehicle that, even if all the possible deaths associated with ibogaine use are true, don't come anywhere close to the statistical possibility of dying or getting disabled in my truck. I've been driving something since I was 15 years old. I sometimes work 40 stories up in the air on the outside of buildings, but therapy providers seem to think it would be to risky for me to self medicate with ibogaine.

Meanwhile alcohol which leads to addiction and a variety of deaths at a terrific rate can be had for a few dollars on any corner of the city. Same with cigarettes, and crack and heroin and meth and whatever. Instant addiction is for sale for ten dollars all over the city, but here I am trying to figure out how to raise a minimum of $1500 dollars for "treatment"?

I'll keep looking for someone who's underground (for legal reasons) at a reasonable price, but in the mean time I'll buy the seeds if the root bark continues to be such a hassle to locate in good condition. I'm an accomplished gardener and have grown and used entheogens before, ones with much more demanding environments than a bush will require. If Iboga is like the others then I'll connect with the spirit of the plant, and through respect and reverence and conscious partnership, have an experience that will possibly give me the strength and insight to move through this addiction to tobacco that's been with me for much to long.

Someone might say that if cigarettes are going to give you cancer, why not just pay $1500 for what may give you the strength to quit, as the alternative is clearly worse, but if you actually think about it you'll come up with a few other possible contexts that could be meaningful.

It's not as if "life or death" always trumps all other contexts for consideration and motive. People do dangerous things all the time knowing that death is a possibility or even a certainty. We can be hurt because of it, but we have that right, and sometimes we save lives because of it, and that risk is ours to choose because we're free in a place that laws and social norms can never rule.

There is a lot of info on the net about Iboga can kill addiction'

Also it is stated that it kills withdrawal'
Also can kill addiction to substances in twenty four hours'

This is seriously bad information'

Iboga can help with withdrawal, but you shall still have to cluck and recover from the substances used'

The reason folks take Iboga for addiction is to kill the retardent withdrawal/craving of the substances used'

It takes 10-12 days to recover from "H" and a good month plus to get the body back and running normal'
28 days to stop clucking off Methadone' a good two months before you get your body back'

If you ingest Iboga for "H" addiction' the Iboga helps with the withdrawal' in no way does it take it away' or stick you back on your feet within twenty four hours'
You shall still cluck for 2 weeks, and your head shall be mashed for a further month plus'
You shall feel blank and cold and very tired for five days' then you shall take off' psychicaly an mentaly'
You will still experience hot and cold flushes' goosing' and be very sensative to excitement and touch'
No way as bad as clucking dry' but still a very unpleasant experience, added to that of what the Iboga does to the body and the psychi'
an extremely hard experience'
At least Iboga takes away the bone crushing pain' but leaves one completely numb'

If you take Iboga for Methadone addiction you shall be blank an cold for five days' then you shall cluck seriously hard, the same as if you had detoxed dry' also have the added effects of what Iboga does to the body' you shall be sick for 28 days, then it shall take you another 2 month to get back on your feet'

Either way you shall be extremely tired numb and blank for five days and unable to sleep soundly for a very long time afterwards'

Folks use sleep as a means of escape' the likes of substance use'
So you try to kill the substance use with Iboga then find you have an inability to sleep for a long time to come'
This is of when the hole of the crutch of substance use and sleep has to be filled'
Many many folks relapse very quickly because they are unable to go through the withdrawal of substance abstination and the sleeplessness experienced after Iboga' to await the time as of when the withdrawal subsides and the resset has took full effect'
It is the craving of the substances used and the retardent withdrawal that Iboga kills'

It needs to be published that although Iboga can help with the withdrawal' folks -partake of her to effect a resset of the NMDA receptors'
to kill retardent withdrawal'

These are the receptors that get hardwired to substance abuse'

It takes about 2-3 months for Iboga to effect this resset completely' Whitwalling body memory of the substances used'

So addiction to substances is in no way a simple case of partaking of Iboga and all is well'

Also there is no published data (on any treatment providers web pages) on "Full transition" folks seem to scirt around this phase of Iboga ingestion'

Along with the resset of the NMDA receptors it is "Full transition" that gets folks past "Mind sets"

A conflict is set up between conciance and concious mind'
Concious mind is the one that runs the mind sets' programing subconcious responces'
The little voice becomes the voice of authority' the likes of parent conciousness'
Mind sets are then tested by the voice of authority'
Obviously the voice of authority wins'

Primal instinctual self rises from the depths of the stored information in the DNA' and by reflection runs in subconcious responces' the likes of would be fight or flight mechanisms'
It is this primal/instinctual DNA coding that teaches one about of who they are through Iboga'

So if you are concidering taking Iboga for addiction it should be known that she can help with withdrawal' never take it away'

Iboga ressets NMDA receptors and if you take enough to get to "Full transition" you shall test all of your bad programing "Mind sets" by primal/instinctual DNA coding reflection'

Very little is dealt with in the first 60 hours after ingestion'
The visionary stage and dream stage are a very small part of Iboga'
You ingest Iboga and have a visionary stage of visions' the likes of trees' people' places' as if a movie' you also see yourself by reflection looking back at yourself'
In the dream stage this is of when early trauma of childhood and suchlike is brought up' Iboga shows of what needs changing'

It is the stage of Iboga ingestion after the first five days' that does all the psychic healing' as you slowly make your way too full transition' getting higher and higher' closer and closer to primal / instinctual self'

Hi all. My last meeting with 10g of root bark was a bit too scary and strong thinking back. It brought to surface a lot of feelings of hopelessness and I got visions of different ways to end my life. I was hunting after the first glowing experience I got from Ibo after which I've slowly but surely travelled towards depression deeper than ever before.

I'm on 2 weeks of antidepressants now but I'm somewhat sure I'll have to resort to ECT at some point.

I have decided to spend most of my Ibo for microdosing, I don't know if it does any good (Motu said it gives some more energy which is good) but I wouldn't want to reveal even more hopelessness from my psyche with bigger doses.

I recently heard from one poor soul who sent 150 Euro for 130 seeds which he still has not received. As usual there are constantly added costs in this case for a certificate.
Please take care not to fall for this kind of thing; they usually ask for payment through money gram or western union and are untraceable. You will never get anything and if you do I would take extreme care, no one has ever received anything so just hold on to your hard earned cash and contact people with experience and references.

Who is it you perceive across from you that you would disprove, argue with, and attempt to discredit? Set the disagreement aside for a moment please and consider who it is you would go to battle against. I say this because if you make a new decision about who it is that your dealing with then the way you treat him will change. Only enemies need be attacked. Only those who's ideas threaten yours need be battled. If the man across the way doesn't threaten your well being, doesn't threaten your place, your safety, your health, your family or your God, then you needn't go to war with him. You needn't battle him with words, protect against his ideas nor save others from being twisted or harmed by them.

If you battle for supremacy, what is it that you feel was threatened?
If you battle against the vision of another, what harm do you believe will be diverted?
Is it your reputation that you would go to war to protect?
Is it your standing in the community you see as being made vulnerable?

Maybe for just a moment, if you don't mind, consider that the cause for battle that you believe in, the reason your willing to engage in it, is of your own making. Maybe it's crafted by your hands after you perceived a threat. Maybe your perception is where the battle began, and not with the vision or behavior of another. If it all began in your own mind then you're free to change the outcome, to change the moment you find yourself in by a decision your free to make.

Who is it you would battle with, who is it you would fight and go to war with?
Ask yourself a question that gives you a chance to find love, to find brotherhood, and to grow by making welcome, by inclusion, by taking responsibility for where you are in your own mind, and setting a new course toward a brother, a friend, and if your willing to imagine it, another part of your own self with you here, deeply connected to you in ways you've only just begun to imagine.

Iboga is a path to healing, is that what you've been doing here?
In south Africa alone we have so many tribes and cultures that have moved around through the ages; at least fourteen. The next problem is for the researcher. Even if they are not intent on exploiting traditional medicine or any other plant having to go through government and then to get government to approach the perspective persons who hold the land right is a major process and can slow things to a standstill.

Africa defies licences for life

No country is self-sufficient in biodiversity. The WTO is seeking an appropriate legal framework to encourage trade. But appropriate for whom? There's the rub. The intellectual property system, which champions the breeders' interests, is becoming an instrument of neo-colonialism. The Organisation of African Unity, offering an alternative that is in the public interest as well as its own, has taken the lead in new thinking about the exploitation of life.

by FRANCK SEURET and ROBERT ALI BRAC DE LA PERRIÈRE

This is a story of sugar that leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. A story of patents and piracy. In 1995 the university of Wisconsin took out four patents on brazzein, an extremely sweet tasting protein that researchers had isolated from the berry of a plant growing in Gabon. The university has since granted licences to exploit the patents to several biotechnology companies that hope to introduce a brazzein-producing gene into fruit and vegetables to obtain products that taste sweet but are less rich in calories. There are big profits in this, though not for small farmers in Gabon. They know all about the plant, they have always used it and their way of life and farming practices have helped to ensure its survival. But they will get nothing at all out of the plans to exploit it.

The case of brazzein is by no means unusual. Every year, firms and universities in the countries of the North take out patents on plants such as addiction fighting tabernanthe iboga, grown & used in the Sub Saharan countries, without the consent of the parties concerned and without offering any financial consideration in return. To put an end to this biological piracy, the Scientific, Technical and Research Commission of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) has just produced model legislation for the recognition and protection of local communities, farmers and breeders, and for the regulation of access to genetic resources.

Would somebody please direct me to the Iboga benefit sharing discussion?

"Bio-piracy", is a term that refers to "the acquisition of biodiversity, i.e., biological material (plants, animals, microorganism, and their parts), or of traditional knowledge related to that biodiversity, without the prior informed consent of those whose biodiversity or traditional knowledge has been taken."

-- Drug addiction treatment from Iboga plant that has long been used in Central and West Africa. In low doses, it serves as a stimulant to maintain alertness, for example, while hunting. In larger does, it is a hallucinogen, traditionally used for religious purposes. But in recent years, it has drawn the interest of drug addiction researchers as Iboga reportedly has the effect of ending cravings for addictive substances, such as heroin and nicotine. There is thus great interest in Iboga to cure some drug addictions. Numerous patents have been taken out on Iboga, but the author could not find any evidence of benefit sharing related to Iboga.

Genocide – Spiritual and Otherwise
by Laura del Fuego

In the film, ISHI, THE LAST YAHI, by anthropologist Kroeber, Ishi wandered out of the Northern California hills where he had hidden for forty years, all his life, from white men who were hunting Indians like wild game. In 1911 he left the steep craggy cliffs as the last survivor of the Yahi where he, and the dwindling members of his tribe, had lived sequestered in the rough inhospitable terrain of the Sierra Nevada mountains, until all were systematically murdered by white settlers, often paid fifty cents a piece for their and their childrens scalps.

Some sources say that there were more Indians on the California land before the white man came than any other state. At the turn of the 20th century the U.S. government had paid over a million dollars to the settlers for the proof of dead Indians. Now archeologists from our countries' top colleges travel to the land of the last Yahi, ostensibly to better understand the ancient tribe and how they survived this hostile life. I believe these scholars come more to study the land in search of their own lost souls, their lost common spirituality. They come from the wasteland of modern America to recapture the lost essence, the essence of the reverence for life that the so called modern world has murdered off in its quest for power and dominance. But it is gone, completely vanished along with the ancient tribes... Vanished forever from this landscape of power lines, freeways, traffic choked towns lined with fast food chains, car washes, drive up banks, parking lots, smog and the nuclear family unit.

So they send their educated teams, probably spending as much government money as they originally spent to kill off the tribes, hoping to find something...anything to take them back to that place that no longer is.

Master cultists, appeal to the spiritually bankrupt, who have no physical relationship with the earth or sense of identity or community. They think they can buy and sell spirituality. But they are mistaken. It is time to take off the masks. Stop and contemplate that spiritual void. Look back at the past, feel the loss, accept the consequences. To acknowledge that emptyness, that grief is almost too much to bear. But it can be done if one choses to face it for what it is. To not do so is to court disaster. To cut ourselves off from our own vital roots to become that which we have vowed in our liberal hearts to despise.

To the victors belong the spoils. What we have here are the spoils. No, not even the real spoils. Those are on the reservations, in the prisons and madhouses. But the synthetic spoils, manufactured by white middle class Americans, escaping the past. To the modern victors belong the synthetic spoils and their own spiritual cannibalism.
Simon, A So.African, Nganga wanna-be, has to gaul to Subject Multi- Generational Nganga Mallendi to NewAge Concepts of Neo-Shamanism.

Spiritual Genocide; Simon's Super Plastic Shaman Criteria is an Assault on the Prior Art of Nganga Mallendi. Simon & the likes are going for the throats of Traditional Practitioners to eliminate the competition. Simon & other Spiritual Neo-Colonists are patently damning Indigenous knowledge into Oblivion.

Will Nganga Mallendi's great great grandchildren be presecuted by the WTO for patent infrigement for using Iboga? or perhaps be forced to use Sythetic derivitives at a high cost?

Contrary to SyntheticSimon's BS.....Iboga is safer than ibogaine and being treated in Gabon by an Nganga would be first on my list just because of the history of Pentagon funded 'Skunk Projects' aimed at data collection, & duping unwitting genea pigs into submitting to experimentation & unnessessary screening. Medical Apartheid.

Go for treatment from SyntheticSimon, & he won't even give you a little soup after, what a Schlump!

I just thought I would like to give a bit of background to the recent post on trips to Gabon. Now and then I do receive requests for information on who to get in touch with regarding people wishing to experience iboga in its natural setting and the way it was intended traditionally.
When I went to Bali last year and saw some of what were meant to be traditional plays or theatre. I discovered that they were trying to please a foreign market and there was little of the culture I wanted to experience. My usual M.O is to befriend a local and this way learn more about the people other than what you are wanted to see and means of separating you with your cash. More and more people are leaving what they would have been doing normally like fishing or farming to cater for this market which is a global epidemic.
So with Gabon I was fortunate enough to have been introduced to the culture by an insider not through the tourist market and this is how I would like to give some thing back. Not only will the person be looked after and I say this because I trust Mikodio with my life; but the money that is spent goes to maintaining the village.
So to get to the point because it is a frequent thing that I am asked about I would like to see some thing going back into a culture that welcomed me and made me feel like a member of the family. It’s a group effort and everyone has their role to play.
Like I said anyone is welcome as long as they are respectful of the people and the forest which is the life stem of their culture in my opinion.

I understand the rootbark contains other psychoactive alkaloids than ibogaine which affect both the potency and quality of the experience.
So I have 2 questions:
1) how much pure ibogaine is in the typical Bwiti ceremonial rootbark dose?
2) how much ibogaine is equivalent in strength to the mixture of alkaloids present in the typical Bwiti ceremonial dose?
By 'strength' I mean the psychological depth of the experience.

My question concerns an aspect of the much repeated exclusion criteria for iboga therapy, formally expressed in Lotsof and Wachtel's manual (see http://www.ibogaine.org/manual.html#disexclus) and seemingly repeated by just about everybody else with any involvement in the therapeutic use of this medicine.

Specifically I''d like to know more about items 1 and 2 which exclude respectively individuals who've ever had a so-called major mental illness as well as those who are currently moderately depressed. Can anybody comment with any knowledge as to why these criteria exist?

Let me suggest 2 extreme scenarios: One possibility could be that comprehensive scientific trials were carried out by the early therapy providers and those unfortunates with the difficulties now excluded were found during follow-up to have had statistically significant poorer outcomes than the control "non-mad" group. I'd like to think such trials did happen but I would not be surprised to hear that they did not. The alternative extreme explanation for the "no nutters allowed" policy might be that the early iboga healing pioneers, in their zeal to see their radical therapy gain at least some degree of general legitimacy, decided to play it safe and steer clear of any unwanted trouble which they assumed, for whatever reason and perhaps rightly or wrongly, that they might find in oversupply amongst the mad. In other words, if true, they bottled their responsibility, both to science and their fellow men.

I've been considering taking this medicine for some time and will have a supply landing in my door any day now. I also have the option of availing of the various "professional" and/or "underground" treatment services available around the world. In the latter case however, I expect that were I to be truthful in my application, I would risk exclusion based on my less than unblemished mental history resume. That means, that if I firmly decide to undertake this treatment, I either do it under my own steam or I lie to the "professionals"

It's very difficult to make my decision to take this substance or not when I know nothing at all of the motivation behind why the exclusion referred to here actually exists. I have yet found almost no evidence anywhere of any individuals with acknowledged "mental health difficulties" (assuming for a moment that such are distinguishable from the greater mass of undifferentiated madness, PTSD and emotional illness from which just about everyone suffers to some extent) actually take the Eboga challenge. I can only recall 2 exceptions: one was posted here by Simon about a friend with bipolar who went to Mexico and apparently suffered a psychotic breakdown immediately following his session, which was said to be 36 hours in hell. (Simon, some more on this would be appreciated ... ). This scant story would tend of course to support the exclusion criteria as they stand, if one is swayed by statistical sample sizes of 1 that is. The other thing I came across on the web was a woman who had been diagnosed with multiple personality disorder, which diagnosis she had always resisted. She finally did ibogaine (concealing her head troubles from with her facilitators) and according to herself, had it confirmed by a spirit guide during the session that she did in fact suffer from this malady, was then shown all sorts of other things which addressed this and other woes with the end result that she emerged completely healed! She described her session as BRUTAL but hey, she was born again! This charming vignette of course would suggest the exclusionists have it all wrong.

So what is the real position? Are the mentally sensitive more likely to suffer ill from iboga? How exactly? Will their illness get worse? Are they more likely to suffer physically, to die maybe? Does the primordial wisdom of teacher of humanity really have it in for flakes? What if, on the contrary, this medicine is meant most especially for the addled of the world?

Any light on the foregoing would be appreciated. I have some courage but I've been wrong before !

The second, 7 g, ended up in 20 hours of diarrhea.
The third, 12 g, was a hellish night of throwing up, choking, burping and running back and forth to the toilet. Plus the taste was unpalatable and extremely nauseating, unlike the other 2 times where it was just bitter.
It seems that my body has learned with time that the wood is 'bad' and it should be rejected by any means necessary.

I went through those experiences without a sitter. I know it's considered irresponsible and I discourage others from doing so.
Now I'm considering a session with a professional provider and a high dose of ibogaine hcl (21 mg/kg) and wondering if this acquired aversion would carry over to ibogaine? If so, is there any way to undo it before embarking on that life-changing journey?
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I have been doing a lot of personal research into this amazing plant after reading about it in a book, I want to try it in order to find out more about my own psyche and reality, but it seems extraordinarily difficult to find any solid information on dosage, during bwiti initiation ceremonies people are given hundreds of grams of the bark but elsewhere I have read that going over 20 is deadly! Then there is also the extract which complicates things because I never know whether people are talking about it or the bark in reference to dosage.

But then I stumbled across this fantastic tribe!

So as you have probably guessed by now I'd like some guidelines on how much to take in grams per kilogram for a full experience, I am not sure how much I weigh, about 70Kg I think.
Also could someone recommend me a supplier? - I am very wary of all the dodgy "psychedelic herb" shops online, and Iboga is not something I want to take a risk with!

Thanks alot

Wash it down with yogurt or eat it dry?
1990 - 44 year old woman during group therapy session.

4.5 mg/kg p.o. Ibogaine: A Review, Kenneth R. Alper, Chapter 1:

"In June 1990, a 44 year-old woman died in France approximately 4 hours after receiving a dose of ibogaine of about 4.5 mg/kg p.o. The cause of death was concluded to have been acute heart failure in an autopsy carried out at the Forensic-Medical Institute in Zurich (176). Autopsy revealed evidence of a prior myocardial infarction of the left ventricle, severe atherosclerotic changes, and 70 to 80% stenosis of all three major coronary artery branches. This patient had a history of hypertension, and inverted T waves were noted on EKG three months prior to the patient0„30…4s death. The autopsy report concluded that the patients preexisting heart disease was likely to have caused the patient0„30…4s death, and it specifically excluded the possibility of a direct toxic effect of ibogaine. The report acknowledged the possibility that an interaction between ibogaine and the patient0„30…4s preexisting heart condition could have been a contributing factor in the fatal outcome."

176. W. Baer, Forensic Subsequent Autopsy/Report Case # N-138 1991. University of Zurich, Switzerland. "The autopsy report, which included information obtained from the patient0„30…4s family physician, and the psychiatrist who administered ibogaine, makes reference to the possibility that the patient might have taken other drugs. The autopsy report noted the presence of amphetamine in the enzyme immunocytochemical (EMIT) assay of a dialysate of the kidney tissue (urine was reported not to be obtainable). This finding, however, was regarded as artifactual and possibly attributable to a false positive EMIT result due to the presence of phenylethylamine."
1993 - 24 year old female Dutch addict (Nicola K.) being treated for heroin dependency.

A total dose of 29 mg/kg. Ibogaine: A Review, Kenneth R. Alper, Chapter 1:

The patient died 19 hours later of respiratory arrest. Some evidence suggested the possibility of surreptitious opioid use in this case, which was noted in the Dutch inquiry (178) and which is another source of uncertainty in this fatality. [n.b. Ibogaine has been shown to increase the effects and toxicity of opiates (Popick and Glick, 1996).]

178. G. van Ingen, Pro Justitia No. 93221/I057, Dept. Justice, The Netherlands, Lab. Forensic Pathol., 1994. "Forensic pathological examination revealed no definitive conclusion regarding the probable cause of death (177) and cited the general lack of information correlating ibogaine concentrations with possible toxic effects in humans."

Prior complaint of recurrent intestinal malaise and diarrhea. "On April 21, though, she flew back down to Miami for a medical exam at the U. of Miami--part of the followup to her Panamanian re-treatment. No ill-effects of Ibogaine--but still no explanation of her diarrhea and recurrent vomiting. She was released from the hospital. Much later that evening she was found dead at the apartment where she was staying, collapsed in her vomit. Estimated time of death, 9:40 PM." "The autopsy--much more exhaustive than in previous deaths--found no discernible link to Nancy's recent re-treatment, establishing cause of death as mesenteric artery thrombosis associated with small bowel infarction (blockage), complicated by a general "hypercoagulable state" of the blood due to chronic infection in the thigh."
2000/February - 40 year old heroin addict (JW).

6 grams of T.iboga Extract. www.ibogaine.co.uk/new.htm:

"The coroner, Dr Paul Knapman, found that JW died approximately 40 hours after ingesting 6g of a Tabernanthe iboga preparation, (T. iboga is the source of numerous active alkaloids including ibogaine), in an attempt to break a lengthy heroin addiction, having had no success with other detoxification strategies."

See: Alternate explanation in next row. "It was ruled that JW died principally from a fatal reaction to Tabernanthe iboga preparation, the fact that he had suffered liver damage as a result of Hepatitus C being recorded as a secondary cause. A verdict of 'death by misadventure' was recorded." "With regard to reports that the deceased may have died as a result of ibogaine toxicity, the coroner recognised the presence of other active alkaloids in the preparation ingested by JW and made the statement that the blame for this death "need not necessarily be laid at the feet of ibogaine.""
Alternate Explanation:

2000/February - 40 year old heroin addict (JW).

6 grams of T.iboga Extract. Lee Albert (Non-Medic):

On the basis of 6 grams of Extract (other reports state 5 grams) the amount of ibogaine consumed would appear to have been insufficient for full and complete remission of symptoms - methadone maintenance requires even higher doses. Dr. Ed. Friedrichs, a drug detox specialist has stated that "Vomiting leading to Aspiration into the Lungs can and does cause sudden death (asphyxiation / drowning). Vomiting is certainly a frequent part of narcotic withdrawal, especially if the stomach is full of food from recent eating." JW died alone, shortly after his session ended, on his own vomit while eating a sandwich.
2002/July - Young woman in Germany for psychospiritual purposes.

500mg of ibogaine HCl. www.ibogaine.co.uk/new.htm:

The death occurred about one and a half hours after taking the dose. "The woman, aged 35 years and weighing 63 kg, had used the drug previously on one occasion without problem." There appears to be no information about whether she had taken advised medical tests. "She had previously complained of problems with her heart, breast, and uterus. Medical tests, conducted at the time, failed to reveal any problems." "An autopsy apparently failed to isolate an exact cause of death." Lee Albert: "It is stated (copy of purported diary entry seen by Lee Albert) that: "as a child she had a cengenital heart defect (born with a hole in her heart) and had surgery to correct it as she complained of suffering from intense pressure in her chest and the feeling that she might have a heart attack at the age of 5."
2005/Jan - subject in poor health died during a period of daily, low-dose treatment at the Ibogaine Association. MAPS: Multi Disciplinary Association for Psychadelic Studies:

"The Ibogaine Association closed briefly after the incident and reopened several weeks later after making several staff and procedural changes." MAPS reports that a copy of the autopsy report from the San Diego County medical examiner, "found that this patient died of natural causes, unrelated to ibogaine administration, although ibogaine was found in this patient's system at the time of autopsy. The patient suffered a sudden cardiac death due to acute myocardial infarct and acute coronary syndrome. Contributory causes to the death were fibromyalgia and chronic opiate pain medication dependency."
2005/April - 43 Year old heroin addict. Private Correspondence to Ibogaine List from a Close Relative involved in treatment:

Died 3 days after an ibogaine detox in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to a relative on the Ibogaine List an autopsy stated that cause of death was due to vascular heart disease. Apparently this is something which would not show up on a standard EKG but could be detected using a stress test. "Prior EKG and liver testing had shown him to be in reasonable condition (private source)." However, what that means is uncertain as anomalies in an EKG should exclude a person from treatment. Also, hospitalization should perhaps have been considered during this treatment as the individual underwent seizures during treatment (private communication).
U.S. man dies at alternative detox clinic in Tijuana. UNION-TRIBUNE STAFF WRITERS,
By Anna Cearley and Penni Crabtree.
February 2, 2006.

"TIJUANA - A 38-year-old Santa Barbara man died Tuesday while receiving treatment at an alternative detox clinic that primarily serves U.S. citizens struggling with drug addictions. The cause of death was pulmonary thrombosis, according to an autopsy report."

Definition of Pulmonary Embolism:

The obstruction of the pulmonary artery or a branch of it leading to the lungs by a blood clot, usually from the leg, or foreign material causing sudden closure of the vessel. (Embolus is from the Greek "embolos" meaning plug.)

The risk factors for pulmonary embolism include advanced age, cancer, genetic predisposition, immobilization (especially in the hospital), pelvic or leg trauma, pregnancy, and surgery. "The association's Web site notes that it doesn't treat patients with certain health conditions, such as heart disease, uncontrolled diabetes and severe cases of hepatitis."
"In the blood, concentrations of ibogaine and noribogaine were 5-20 fold greater than those reported by Mash et al. (16) after a single oral dose of 800 mg of ibogaine in humans. The highest concentrations were found in the blood sample drawn at the death scene."

"The differences in the concentrations of ibogaine and noribogaine in blood drawn at the scene and blood taken at the autopsy may indicate that degradation (oxidation) of these two drugs occured after death."

"The autopsy, performed about 48 h later, and histopathology examination of organs and tissues showed massive pulmonary edema with hemorrhagic alveoitis and vascular congestion, consistent with a drug overdose. I think their should be resuscitation equipment anywhere people are drinking, also the woman facilitating told me someone died in her care, my question is how many others died.
I am a healer and have travelled in south america and worked with plant medicine. I am totally committed to plant medicien but when someone is taking substantial amounts of money to cure adddiction and they have no medical or shamanic background only that of wanting to sell plants to make money i think it should be regulated.
I had to insist on the bwiti fang music being played which she didnt have and had to be downloaded and i did my own ceremony to worjk with the plant, i truly beleiev this saved my life

I have started a new tribe: "Sharing techniques of ecstacy"
And i hope you will all join to share your knowledge.
I have been on Tribe for a little while now and am amazed by all the wisdom that circles around.

The idea is that this will become a tribe where sharing of knowledge is a central point.
Knowledge in ways of connecting to the supernatural.
Think of mind traveling, breathing techniques, techniques of the body, techniques of the mind.
Techniques of worship and prayer.
But also knowledge of potions and plants.

Let it be as practical as possible, but also let there be sharing of visions from the other side.
How does one gain visions and knowledge.
How does one get insight in the eternal.
How does one keep in control.
How does one lose controle.
How does one start a tribe like this...

I will start by posting some of my earlier posts i wrote on different tribes.
I hope it will be a nice tribe.

These past few weeks leading upto the new year have been full of stress and at one stage I thought my trip to Gabon may be a no go due to issues that need attention in Cape Town. Luckily everything else business wise has been put off till next year and my lawyers can take care of things while I am in Gabon.

So while all of you are chilling and partying I will be in the middle of a tropical forest with insects that could suck me dry and carry me off to feed their young in one foul swoop. Not to mention the fact that I will be getting my self into situations that I have no idea what will happen; I hear white meat tastes a bit like pork; I just know that I should be a completely different person on my return. I hope to bring back some great photos and information that can be shared.

* Different sources say different things about the diet. How long should one fast from foods and water before ingestion? How much and how often to drink and eat afterwards?

* There have been fatalities reported from Iboga and ibogaine. What may be the direct cause of a death? Hypertension, hypotension, stroke, heart attack, ...?

* I want to start out with a test dose (or more small doses to build up on slowly) - to test for allergic reaction as well as to get acquainted with Her spirit. If I do get an allergic reaction, what could the physical symptoms be?

The experience was much less intense than my first one with 5 g where there was no diarrhea whatsoever.
What can I do now? Can I take activated carbon or is it contraindicated to iboga?

What did I do wrong? The rootbark was from the same supplier (may have been another batch though). The differences between the two times I can think of:
- this time I ate the rootbark with yogurt (~100 g)
- I had a meal 5 hours before the iboga (chicken with mushroom sauce and rice)
- I didn't chew it as thoroughly
I know one shouldn't drink water during the experience but the diarrhea made me break this rule and I drank 600 ml of apple juice over several hours.

I had my first Iboga experience last Saturday. I ate 5 g of the rootbark that was marked "excellent quality, active alkaloids content 6-7%" or some such, so I guess it was equivalent to roughly 400 mg of pure ibogaine (?). They sent me an email where they suggested to start with 2 or 4 g, and not exceed 10 g, as this rootbark was extremely strong.

It took me 4 hours to eat it all. The taste was less bitter than expected, kind of spicy like ginger, and shortly your tongue becomes numb so you no longer sense it. However, I was really worried that grinding the material with my teeth could damage them, especially that there were bits of sand in it.

The experience was all positive. I had visions of my past, especially the childhood between 4-8 years old. This period is especially important to me as it's the last time I was really myself. They were not visions exactly, but rather memories of events as if they had happened just a few months ago. I could not only see, but also hear, taste, smell and feel. I realized that I hadn't brought up those memories in a long time.

No negative mental or physical sensations, apart from the slight difficulty walking straight and visual changes (flickering, tracers) when looking at bright objects, which could be compared to a 30 g dose of plain Ayahuasca.

When I woke up at 11 am I was still 'mareating', which faded slowly throughout the day. I spend the whole day afterglowing at home and sleeping. I only popped out once for groceries. Walking outside was sooooo cool :)

I wonder if there is any more healing potential in repeating the same small dose, or I need to eat more to step forward.
I look forward to trying 10 g (having ground it in a coffee grinder) in a couple of weeks. I'm confident this dosage can be handled safely without a sitter. After that I might try 15 g or find a facilitator.

Thanks for the support.

my first treatment was last november. it was about 16 hours, loving compassionate, kind, super cram packed with everything. i wept the whole time and laughed a lot too.

2nd treatmet was last week. they upped me to 13. i came on, peaked, and had processed in 3 hours. i couldn't see or walk or anything, but i was chatting with my scribe, doctor, and sitters from my bed. actually i was telling jokes.
this last time felt hard and fast. not so many insights, but i had the distinct feeling she was doing work on my physical body. and i was violently sick, which scared me as i have never even been sick on aya. i've been nauseous for 8 hours, but never sick. the only scary part was that i couldn't breathe because whatever got pulled up, seemed mucousy.

can someone who has more experience please speak to the vast differences?

oh another curious thing, as all of the visions were playing themselves out... (i had to kiss all my monsters) so it's be like ugly monster number one coming towards me, kiss, next, kiss, next... until this really average looking guy came at me and i felt him land in my body, like a little extra bump in my heartbeat... and my visions continued, then all of the sudden i was like hey someone just jumped in my body. 'okay, OUT, noone is allowed to come in my body, all entrances and exits are sealed'. i have never had that experience before either. and i have heard plenty about entheogenic work somehow lowering the defense shields or whatever it is that happens. but it's true, it happened.

with love, special

The Fang have created a new kind of Bwiti called "Mimbwiri". It is a syncretic bwiti that mix Christianity and Bwiti Dissoumba (The first bwiti). It's that Bwiti that is more seen on Internet actually. Then there is Ngonde Bosuka which I am part of and another which is a branch off this called Ngonde na Dipuma.

So there is not really information available out there on the original Bwiti as the more traditional and less adulterated it gets the more is kept secret and for initiates only. Please note that I am not stating that one form is better than the other all I am saying is there is not only one school of Bwiti and I wanted to bring this across. There is also no publicly available information on the original Ngonde Bosuka. If there is more information I am allowed to share I will so that it can be better understood and also it can be known how Bwiti can help anyone it is not only meant for one race group.

It is like Buddhism in the sense that any one can practice it and that is less of a religion and more a path or way of life.
